Description:

Soulseek is a file-sharing application available for Microsoft Windows.

The application is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability that occurs because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data. Specifically, this issue occurs when performing a direct peer file search.

Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.

Versions prior to Soulseek 157 NS 13e and 156c are vulnerable.
