Title: 4homepages 4images Multiple Cross Site Scripting And HTML Injection Vulnerabilities
Severity: HIGH
Description:
4images is a PHP-based application for managing image galleries.
The application is prone to these input-validation vulnerabilities:
1. Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities affect the following scripts and parameters:
'details.php': 'user_homepage'
'member.php': 'user_homepage'
2. An HTML-injection vulnerability occurs because of insufficient input filtering in the 'global.php' script. This issue can be exploited via the 'HOMEPAGE' input box in the 'member.php' script when the 'action' parameter is set to 'editprofile'.
Attacker-supplied HTML or JavaScript code could run in the context of the affected site, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to control how the site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.
4images 1.7.7 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- 4homepages 4images 1.7
- 4homepages 4images 1.7
- 4homepages 4images 1.7.1
- 4homepages 4images 1.7.3
- 4homepages 4images 1.7.7
