Title: aMember Multiple Cross Site Scripting And HTML Injection Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

aMember is a PHP application that manages memberships and subscriptions for websites.

aMember is prone to these input-validation vulnerabilities:

1. Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities affect the following scripts and parameters:

'admin/users.php': 'letter', 'status', 'action'
'admin/setup.php': 'notebook'
'admin/newsletter_thread.php': 'thread_id', 'guest_id'
'admin/products.php': 'action'
'admin/protect.php': 'action'
'admin/coupons.php': 'action
'admin/aff_banners.php': 'banner_id' when the 'action' parameter is set to 'edit_banner' or 'edit_link'
'admin/email_template.php': 'tpl'
'admin.aff.php': 'action'

Other unspecified scripts are also affected.

2. Multiple HTML-injection vulnerabilities affect the 'first name' and 'last name' parameters of the following scripts:

'signup.php'
'aff_signup.php
'profile.php'

Attacker-supplied HTML or JavaScript code could run in the context of the affected site, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to control how the site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.

aMember 3.1.7 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • CGI Central AMember 3.1.7
