Title: CGI RESCUE Trees Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Trees is a web-based bulletin board.

The application is prone to an cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input to an unspecified parameter.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

Versions prior to Trees 2.11 are vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • CGI RESCUE Trees 2.10
