Title: Microsoft PowerPoint Sound Data (CVE-2009-1129) Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Microsoft PowerPoint is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability caused by an error within the 'importer' when the application parses PowerPoint 95-formatted files. Specifically, stack-based memory becomes corrupted when handling maliciously constructed sound data included in a '.ppt' file. This issue occurs within the 'PP7X32.DLL' library when user-supplied record lengths are used
to control the size of data copied into a fixed-sized memory buffer.

A successful exploit would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the currently logged-in user.
