Title: GlassFish Enterprise Server Multiple Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

GlassFish Enterprise Server is a web application framework.

The software is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. These issues affect the following scripts and any associated parameters:

'applications/applications.jsf'
'configuration/configuration.jsf'
'customMBeans/customMBeans.jsf'
'resourceNode/resources.jsf'
'sysnet/registration.jsf'
'webService/webServicesGeneral.jsf'
'configuration/auditModuleEdit.jsf': 'name'
'resourceNode/jdbcResourceEdit.jsf': 'name'

Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would run in the context of the affected site, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials.

GlassFish Enterprise Server 2.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • Sun Glassfish
  • Sun Glassfish Enterprise Server 2.1
