Title: Linksys WVC54GCA Wireless-G '/img/main.cgi' Information Disclosure Vulnerability

Severity: CRITICAL

Description:

Linksys WVC54GCA Wireless-G Internet Home Monitoring Camera is prone to an information-disclosure vulnerability.

The issue affects the 'next_file' parameter of the '/img/main.cgi' script. An attacker may retrieve the contents of arbitrary files from the same directory where the 'main.cgi' file is located. For instance, the attacker can obtain the administrator's password by retrieving the contents of the '.htpasswd' file, which is located in the same directory.

Linksys WVC54GCA Wireless-G Internet Home Monitoring Camera firmware 1.00R22 and 1.00R24 are affected; other versions may also be vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • Linksys WVC54GCA 1.00R22
  • Linksys WVC54GCA 1.00R24
