Title: Solaris in.fingerd Information Disclosure Vulnerability

Description:

The Solaris version of fingerd is prone to an issue which will divulge sensitive information to remote attackers. It is possible to construct a finger request which will disclose a complete list of all accounts on a remote host.

The following request is sufficient to disclose a list of users:

finger 'a b c d e f g h'@sunhost

The disclosed information may be used in further "intelligent" attacks on the host. For example, the attacker may attempt to brute-force accounts on the host.
