Title: @Mail and @Mail WebMail Email Body HTML Injection Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

@Mail and @Mail WebMail are web-based applications used to access email via a web page or wireless device.

The applications are prone to an HTML-injection vulnerability because they fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input contained in the email body before using it in dynamically generated content.

Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would execute in the context of the affected site, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how a site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.

Affected Products:

  • @Mail @Mail 5.6
  • @Mail @Mail WebMail 5.6
