Title: GuestCal 'lang' Parameter Local File Include Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

GuestCal is a web-based calendar implemented in PHP.

The application is prone to a local file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'lang' parameter of the 'index.php' script. This stems from an error in the 'includes/ini.inc.php' source file.

An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to view and execute arbitrary local files in the context of the webserver process. This may aid in further attacks.

GuestCal 2.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • dotplex GuestCal 2.1
