Title: 4CMS SQL Injection and Local File Include Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

4CMS is a PHP-based content manager.

The application is prone to these issues:

1. Multiple SQL-injection vulnerabilities occur because the application fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data to the following scripts and parameters before using it in an SQL query:

'article.php': 'aid'
'articles.php': 'cid'

A successful exploit may allow an attacker to compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.

2. A local file-include vulnerability occurs because the application fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'chlang' parameter of the 'index.php' script.

The attacker can exploit this vulnerability using directory-traversal strings to execute local script code in the context of the application. This may allow the attacker to obtain sensitive information that may aid in further attacks.

Affected Products:

  • Tessera Multimedia A.E. 4CMS
