Title: Rapid Leech Upload Function Multiple Remote Input Validation Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Rapid Leech is a server-side script for uploading and downloading files from multiple third-party download sites.

The application is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities:

1. An vulnerability in the application lets attackers download arbitrary local files because the software fails to properly restrict the location of files that can be downloaded. An attacker can specify an arbitrary file through the 'filename' parameter, such as '/etc/passwd', and retrieve the file in the context of the webserver process.

2. A local-file include vulnerability affects the 'uploaded' parameter because it fails to properly sanitize input before using it in an 'include_once()' function call.

3. A cross-site scripting issue affects the 'upload' function.

Exploiting these issues could allow the attacker to view and execute arbitrary local files within the context of the webserver and to steal cookie-based authentication credentials, which may aid in further attacks.

  • Rapid Leech Rapid Leech rev36
