Severity: MODERATE
Description:
A vulnerability exists in TYPSoft FTP server where a remote attacker can cause the server to stop responding.
Attacks can be launched using either the 'RETR' or 'STOR' commands, which if submitted with a malicious argument string, can cause a denial of services on the target host.
A restart of the service is required in order to regain normal functionality.
This issue may be the result of an unchecked buffer. If this is the case, there is a possibility that arbitrary code may be executed on the vulnerable target. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
