Title: RitsBlog SQL Injection and HTML Injection Vulnerabilities
Severity: HIGH
Description:
RitsBlog is a web-log application; it is implemented in PHP.
The application is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities:
1. An SQL-injection vulnerability affects the 'p' parameter of the 'jobs.php' script when the 'j' parameter is set to 'login'. An attacker may exploit this issue to compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.
2. Multiple HTML-injection vulnerabilities affect the 'body' and 'name' form fields from the 'index.php' page. The attacker may leverage theses issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials, control how the site is viewed, and launch other attacks.
RitsBlog 0.4.2 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- RitsBlog RitsBlog 0.4.2
