Title: 'mod_auth_mysql' Package Multibyte Character Encoding SQL Injection Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
The 'mod_auth_mysql' module is an Apache tool for HTTP authentication against information stored in a MySQL database.
The application is prone to an SQL-injection vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data before being used in an SQL query. This issue occurs when using multibyte character encoding.
Exploiting this issue could allow an attacker to compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.
