Title: dBpowerAMP Audio Player '.pls' File Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

dBpowerAMP Audio Player is an audio player that plays various media formats.

The application is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. This issue occurs when the application fails to handle excessively long URIs in '.pls' playlist files.

Successfully exploiting this issue may allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed exploit attempts will cause denial-of-service conditions.

dBpowerAMP Audio Player 2.0.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
