Description:
Browse3D is a web-browsing client.
The application is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform boundary checks before copying user-supplied data into sensitive process buffers.
The vulnerability occurs when the application handles malicious '.sfs' files containing excessive data. Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial of service.
Browse3D 3.5 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
