Title: Microsoft MSN Messenger IP Address Information Disclosure Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Microsoft MSN Messenger is an instant-messaging application.

The application is prone to an information-disclosure vulnerability because it fails to properly handle various NAT clients. An attacker can exploit this issue to gain access to the private IP address ('Ipv4InternalAddrsAndPort') and public IP address ('Ipv4InternaladdrsAndPorts') of an affected computer.

Attackers can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information that may lead to further attacks.

Microsoft MSN Messenger 8.5.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
