Title: Retired: Linux Kernel Malformed 'msghdr' Structure Local Denial of Service Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

The Linux Kernel is prone to a local denial-of-service vulnerability that occurs when handling malformed data passed to the 'msg_control' parameter of the 'msghdr' structure when communicating between processes.

A local attacker can exploit this issue to crash the affected computer, denying service to legitimate users.

This BID is being retired as a duplicate of the vulnerability covered in BID 32154 (Linux Kernel '__scm_destroy()' Local Denial of Service Vulnerability).
