Title: Perl Nopaste 'language' Parameter HTML Injection Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Perl Nopaste is a web-based application implemented in Perl.
The application is prone to an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content. This issue affects the 'language' form-field parameter of the 'index.pl' script.
Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would run in the context of the affected browser, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user. Other attacks are also possible.
Perl Nopaste 1.0 and prior versions are vulnerable.
Affected Products:
- Perl Nopaste Perl Nopaste 1.0
