Title: BulletProof FTP Client '.bps' File Stack Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
BulletProof FTP Client is an FTP client available for Microsoft Windows.
The application is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks user-supplied data. This issue occurs when handling malicious 'BulletProof session' (.bps) files. Specifically, a stack overflow occurs when handling excessively large data in the 'FTP Server Host/IP' field while processing the malicious session file.
An attacker may exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the vulnerable application. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in a denial-of-service condition.
