Title: Andy's PHP Knowledgebase 'saa.php' Arbitrary File Upload Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Andy's PHP Knowledgebase (aphpkb) is a web-based knowledgebase application implemented in PHP.

The application is prone to a vulnerability that lets attackers upload arbitrary files. The issue occurs because the application fails to adequately sanitize user-supplied input. The vulnerability occurs in the 'saa.php' script. Attackers can submit an article with an attachment that can be accessed via the 'authors.php' script while the posting is waiting for administrator approval.

An attacker can exploit this issue to upload arbitrary code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may facilitate unauthorized access or privilege escalation; other attacks are also possible.

Andy's PHP Knowledgebase 0.92.9 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
