Title: 'tog-pegasus' Package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Security Bypass Vulnerability
Severity: LOW
Description:
The 'tog-pegasus' package provides OpenPegasus Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) services.
The software is prone to a security-bypass vulnerability because previously built-in security enhancements for OpenGroup Pegasus WBEM services were no longer being applied after the code was updated to version 2.7.0.
Local attackers can exploit this issue to bypass certain security restrictions and send requests to WBEM services.
This issue occurs in the 'tog-pegasus' package built with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
Affected Products:
- OpenPegasus OpenPegasus 2.7.0
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 server
- RedHat Enterprise Linux Desktop 5 client
