Barcode ActiveX is an ATL-based control for creating device-independent barcodes.
Barcode ActiveX control is prone to multiple vulnerabilities that allow attackers to overwrite files with arbitrary, attacker-supplied content. Specifically, the 'SaveAsBMP()' and 'SaveAsWMF()' methods of the 'Barcode.dll' ActiveX control library will overwrite files in an insecure manner. The control is identified by CLSID:

Successful exploits will compromise affected computers and will aid in further attacks.
Barcode ActiveX 3.0.0.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
