Lighttpd is a freely available webserver application.
Lighttpd is prone to an information-disclosure vulnerability because it performs redirect operations on URIs before decoding them. This issue affects the 'url.redirect' and 'url.rewrite' configuration options.
Attackers can exploit this issue to bypass expected filters or rewrite rules and may gain unauthorized access to certain resources. Other attacks may also be possible.
Versions prior to Lighttpd 1.4.20 are vulnerable.
