Description:
WordPad is a simple text editor supplied with most versions of Microsoft Windows.
WordPad is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability when handling a specially crafted '.doc' file. The problem occurs when converting Word 97 format files for use in WordPad.
An attacker can exploit this issue to cause the affected application to crash. The attacker may also be able to run arbitrary code, but this has not been confirmed.
