Title: Multiple Vendor FTP Server Long Command Handling Security Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

FTP servers by multiple vendors are prone to a security vulnerability that allows attackers to perform cross-site request-forgery attacks.

The issue stems from an error in processing long FTP commands. The application truncates an overly long FTP command and interprets the remaining string as a new FTP command.

Attackers can exploit this issue by enticing a user with an active 'ftpd' session into following a malicious link.

Successful exploits can run arbitrary FTP commands on the server in the context of an unsuspecting user's session. This may lead to further attacks.
