Title: Aurora Password Manager System Tray Icon Information Disclosure Vulnerability

Severity: LOW

Description:

Aurora Password Manager is an application for storing website and email passwords, credit card numbers, and other sensitive data.

The application is prone to an information-disclosure vulnerability because it fails to restrict access to sensitive data in certain circumstances. Specifically, when the application is minimized, all stored passwords may be accessed by right-clicking on the application's system tray icon. Passwords can be accessed and copied with the 'Copy Password' functionality, regardless of restrictions set up in the 'User Management' or 'Folder Permissions' configurations.

An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain stored sensitive information such as passwords or other data that may aid in further attacks.

Aurora Password Manager 3.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • ANIMABILIS SOFTWARE Aurora Password Manager 3.0
