EMC Retrospect is prone to an insecure password-hash weakness that resides in the Server Authentication Module. This issue occurs because the application uses a weak hash algorithm to generate encrypted passwords.
Successfully exploiting this issue in conjunction with other latent vulnerabilities may allow attackers to gain unauthorized access to the affected application.
