Title: CMME Cross Site Scripting And Information Disclosure Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

CMME (Content Management Made Easy) is a PHP-based content manager.

The application is prone to the following vulnerabilities:

1. An information-disclosure vulnerability may allow attackers to gain access to user account information. This issue occurs because any user can access the 'data/admin/user' folder.

2. An information-disclosure vulnerability affects the 'info.php' script. This issue may allow attackers to gain information about the server.

3. Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities affect the 'admin_action.php' script. These issues affect an unspecified cookie parameter and the 'username' form-field parameter.

An attacker may leverage these issues to obtain potentially sensitive information and to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

Affected Products:

  • CMME CMME 1.17
