Title: The Rat CMS Multiple SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
The Rat CMS is a PHP-based content manager.
Since it fails to adequately sanitize user-supplied data, the application is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities:
1. SQL-injection vulnerabilities affect the 'id' parameter of the 'viewarticle.php' and 'viewarticle2.php' scripts.
2. Cross-site scripting vulnerabilities affect the 'id' parameter of the 'viewarticle.php' and 'viewarticle2.php' scripts.
3. Another cross-site scripting vulnerability affects PATH_INFO input to the 'viewarticle.php' script.
Exploiting these issues could allow an attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials, compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.
The Rat CMS Pre-Alpha 2 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- The Rat Studios The Rat CMS Pre-Alpha 2
