Title: 5th street 'dx8render.dll' Format String Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

'5th street' is a music and dance game.

The application is prone to a format-string vulnerability because it fails to sanitize user-supplied input before passing it as format-string specifiers to the 'vsnwprintf()' function in the 'dx8render.dll' module. The issue is triggered when format-string characters are sent in chat messages.

Exploiting this issue will allow attackers to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of a user running the application. Failed attacks will likely cause denial-of-service conditions.

Affected Products:

  • Suzhou Snail Electronic Co. 5th street
