Title: Ourvideo CMS Multiple Input Validation Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Ourvideo CMS is a media content manager implemented in PHP.

Since it fails to adequately sanitize user-supplied input, the application is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities:

1. Two local file-include issues affect the 'include_connection' parameter of the following scripts:

'phpi/edit_top_feature.php'
'phpi/edit_topics_feature.php'

2. A local file-include issue affects the 'prefix' parameter of the 'phpi/rss.php' script.

3. Two cross-site scripting issues affect the following parameters in the 'phpi/login.php' script:

'top_page'
'end_page'

Attackers can exploit the remote file-include issues to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the webserver process. They can exploit the local file-include issue to execute arbitrary local scripts in the context of the webserver and access sensitive information. They can leverage the cross-site scripting issues to steal cookie-based authentication credentials. Other attacks are possible; information harvested can aid in further attacks.

Ourvideo CMS 9.5 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • Ourvideo CMS Ourvideo CMS 9.5
