Title: Cobalt Qube Webmail Directory Traversal Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Cobalt Qube is an fully-featured network "server appliance".
A vulnerability in Cobalt Qube's webmail implementation allows remote attackers to traverse directories. The problem is that webmail does not filter "../" sequences from HTTP requests. A remote attacker can craft a malformed request to their mailbox which will display arbitrary web-readable files in the format of a webmail message.
The disclosed information can be used in further attacks which have the potential to fully compromise the host.
Affected Products:
- Cobalt Qube 1.0.0
- Cobalt Qube 2.0.0
- Cobalt Qube 3.0.0
- Cobalt Qube Webmail 1.0.0
