Title: QuickerSite Multiple Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

QuickerSite is an ASP-based content manager.

The application is prone to the following vulnerabilities:

1. An authentication-bypass vulnerability affects the 'bs_login.asp' file. An attacker can change the admin password, email address, and the site design.

2. Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities affect the following scripts and parameters:

'showThumb.aspx': 'close'
'process_send.asp': 'SB_redirect'
'process_send.asp': 'SB_feedback'
'picker.asp': 'paramCode'
'picker.asp': 'cColor'
'rss.asp': 'X-FORWARDED-FOR'
'rss.asp': 'QueryString'
'rss.asp': 'Referer'

2. An SQL-injection vulnerability affects the 'sNickName' in the '/asp/includes/contact.asp' script. An attacker can exploit this issue to compromise the affected application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database. Other attacks are also possible.

3. An arbitrary-file-upload vulnerability affects the 'fckeditor251/editor/filemanager/connectors/asp/upload.asp'. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute server-side script code.

4. A vulnerability in the 'mailPage.asp' file can allow attackers to mailbomb users.

Successful exploits may allow attackers to:
- access or modify data
- exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database
- obtain sensitive information
- gain unauthorized access to the affected application
- upload arbitrary files and execute arbitrary server-side script code
- execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site

A successful attack will compromise the application and may help in further attacks.

The issues affect QuickerSite 1.8.5; other versions may also be vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • QuickerSite QuickerSite 1.8.5
