Title: Zina 'index.php' Multiple Input Validation Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Zina is an application that allows users to view and play MP3 files through their browser; it is implemented in PHP.

Zina is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities:

- A cross-site scripting issue affects the 'search' parameter of the 'index.php' script. Attacker-supplied HTML and script code can execute in the context of the affected site.

- A file-disclosure issue affects the 'p' parameter of the 'index.php' script. An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain potentially sensitive information.

The attacker can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of a victim in the context of the affected application, steal cookie-based authentication credentials, or obtain information that could aid in further attacks.

Zina 1.0rc3 vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • pancake.org Zina 1.0 RC3
