Title: TYPO3 Frontend User Registration Extension Multiple Input Validation Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Frontend User Registration is an extension for the TYPO3 content manager.

The application is prone to an unspecified cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.

The application is also prone to an unspecified remote code-execution vulnerability that can allow attackers to delete arbitrary files on the webserver.

An attacker may leverage these issues to delete arbitrary files on the webserver or to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. Additional attacks may also be possible.

Very few details are available. We will update this BID as more information emerges.
