Title: Oracle Application Server Portal Authentication Bypass Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
Oracle Application Server Portal is a solution for building, deploying, and maintaining portals.
Oracle Application Server Portal is prone to an authentication-bypass vulnerability because the application fails to properly restrict access to certain resources. Specifically, attackers can bypass a standard basic authentication when accessing the 'dav_portal/portal/' directory by using a specially crafted cookie.
An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to bypass certain security restrictions and gain access to potentially sensitive services and resources.
Oracle Application Server Portal 10g is vulnerable to this issue; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- Oracle Application Server Portal 10g
- Oracle Oracle9i Application Server 1.0.2 .2
