Title: 1C: Arcadia Internet Store Show Path Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

1C: Arcadia Internet Store is a online shopping utility for Microsoft Windows NT/2000 that is fully integratable with 1C: Enterprise, another popular Russian web-commerce utility.

'tradecli.dll' is the language interpreter that 1C: Arcadia Internet Store uses to process requests. It allows users to specify a template by way of a CGI variable.

When a value is provided for the 'template' variable, 'tradecli.dll' will attempt to open the associated file and output its contents to the client.

If the requested file does not exist, the error message will contain the absolute path of the application on the webserver.

This may disclose sensitive information to an attacker, such as the directory layout of the webserver. Such information is sometimes required for certain 'intelligent' attacks. Armed with the directory layout disclosed by this vulnerability, further compromise of the webserver may be possible.

Affected Products:

  • Arcadia 1C: Arcadia Internet Store 1.0.0
