Title: 1C: Arcadia Internet Store Arbitrary File Disclosure Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
1C: Arcadia Internet Store is a online shopping utility for Microsoft Windows NT/2000 that is fully integratable with 1C: Enterprise, another popular Russian web-commerce utility.
'tradecli.dll' is the language interpreter that 1C: Arcadia Internet Store uses to process requests. It allows users to specify a template by way of a CGI variable.
When a value is provided for the 'template' variable, 'tradecli.dll' will attempt to open the associated file and output its contents to the client.
Unfortunately '..\' character sequences are not filtered from requests. As a result, web users can reference files outside of the webroot using '..\' as part of the path.
Arbitrary files on the same drive as the webserver can be specified as the value of 'template', and their contents will be disclosed if they exist on the server.
Such attacks can be executed via a web-browser and can provide useful reconnaisannce to aid the attacker in further compromising the system.
