Title: XM Easy Personal FTP Server 'PORT and 'XCWD' Multiple Remote Denial of Service Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

XM Easy Personal FTP Server is an FTP server for Microsoft Windows.

XM Easy Personal FTP Server is prone to multiple remote denial-of-service vulnerabilities that occur in the 'XCWD' and 'PORT' commands.

To exploit these issues, an attacker must have authenticated access to the affected application.

These issues allow remote attackers to crash affected FTP servers, denying service to legitimate users. Given the nature of these issues, attackers may also be able to execute arbitrary code, but this has not been confirmed.

XM Easy Personal FTP Server 5.4.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • dxmsoft XM Easy Personal FTP Server 5.4.0
