Title: SAP NetWeaver Filesystem Feedbacks Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

SAP NetWeaver is a platform for enterprise applications.

SAP NetWeaver is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because the software fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data. Specifically, this issue affects the web interface used to access portal filesystems with 'feedbacks' of files.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

Affected Products:

  • SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SP8
  • SAP NetWeaver Application Server 6.40 SP17
