Title: Sympa 'Content-Type' Header Remote Denial Of Service Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Sympa is a mailing-list manager written in Perl. It runs on various platforms, including UNIX, Linux, BSD, Solaris, and others.
Sympa is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability because it fails to handle specially crafted 'Content-Type' headers.
Specifically, this issue occurs when processing email messages containing a corrupt 'Content-Type' header causing the application to access an undefined value through a function call.
An attacker can exploit this issue to cause the application to crash. Successful attacks will deny service to legitimate users.
Versions prior to Sympa 5.4 are affected.
