Title: 2X ThinClientServer TFTP service Directory Traversal Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

2X ThinClientServer is used to deploy and manage thin clients.

2X ThinClientServer is prone to a directory-traversal vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input data.

A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using directory-traversal strings (such as '../') to access arbitrary files outside of the TFTP server's root directory.

This issue can allow attackers to obtain sensitive information that could aid in launching further attacks.

2X ThinClientServer 5.0 sp1-r3497 with TFTPd.exe 3.2.0.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • 2X ThinClientServer 5.0 sp1-r3497
