Title: Olicomm ILMI Undocumented Community String Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Olicom routers were previously manufactured and distributed by Olicom, a company now owned by Intel. Olicom routers provide a low-cost routing solution for small businesses.
A problem has been discovered in the firmware used on Olicom routers that could allow the alteration of some configuration parameters on the router. The alteration of these parameters doesn't affect the normal operation of the router. However, it could lead to further attack and compromise through social engineering.
The problem occurs in the ILMI community string accepted by the router. By default, the router allows the remote users to change limited configuration information on the router, including the field specifying the owner or organization responsible for the router.
Affected Products:
- Olicom XLT-F 0.0.0XL 80 IM V5.5BL2
