Title: Loris Hotel Reservation System 'search.cgi' Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Loris Hotel Reservation System is a hotel management and reservation application implemented in Perl.

The application is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sanitize user-supplied input to the 'hotel_name' parameter of the 'search.cgi' script.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

Loris Hotel Reservation System 3.01 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • Loris Hotel Reservation System 3.01
