Description:
HP OpenView Network Node Manager is a fault-management application for IP networks.
The application is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability.
This issue occurs when an error in the 'ovtopmd' process causes an attempt to access an invalid memory address based on TCP stream data.
An attacker may leverage this issue to crash the affected application, denying service to affected users.
The issue affects HP OpenView Network Node Manager 6.41, 7.01, and 7.51.
