Title: ELOG Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability and Denial of Service Vulnerability

Description:

ELOG is a web-log application.

ELOG is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly handle user-supplied input to the 'subtext' parameter.

Attackers require write access to a logbook to exploit this issue.

ELOG is also prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability because it fails to handle certain malformed input in the 'replace_inline_img()' function. Specially crafted entries to a logbook can cause an infinite loop.

To exploit this issue, attackers require privileges sufficient to submit logbook entries.

An attacker may leverage these issues to cause denial-of-service conditions or to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

Versions prior to ELOG 2.7.1 are vulnerable.
