Title: Joovili 'picture' Parameter Multiple Local File Include Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Joovili is a social-networking platform implemented in PHP.

The application is prone to multiple local file-include vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input to the 'picture' parameter of the following scripts:

'images.inc.php' in Joovili 2.x.
'joovili.images.php' in Joovili 3.x.

An attacker can exploit these issues to include arbitrary local scripts through the use of directory-traversal strings ('../'). This may allow the attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information; other attacks are also possible.

These versions are affected:

Joovili 3.0.6 (and prior)
Joovili 2.x (and prior)

Affected Products:

  • Joovili Joovili 2.0
  • Joovili Joovili 3.0.6
