Title: iPortalX Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

iPortalX is an ASP-based web portal.

The application is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to sanitize user-supplied input. These issues affect these parameters and scripts:

'KW' in 'search.asp'
'Date' in 'blogs.asp'
'SF' in 'members.asp'

An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

All versions are considered vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • iPortalX iPortalX Beta 1 Build 032
  • iPortalX iPortalX Beta 1 Build 033 RC 2.02
